Year 2005 brought fresh blood in KrandaMayat life. Their latest mini album Azab reached significant sales count in underground scene. Carrying Classic Death/Thrash metal on the shoulders, KrandaMayat polished the burden with Arabian, classical symphony and ethnical instrument including Javanese flute.
KrandaMayat embryo was the band called Smaphut (Fainted), born in 1995 with the good hands of Anjar (Vox, Bass), Herlambang(Glead Guitar), Pupunk (Rithym Guitar) and Ook (Drums). The band originally played pure thrash metal by influence of Kreator, Sepultura and Death.
In 1997 the band changed to KrandaMayat (The Bier/Coffin) and has began to explore new territories by incorporating new substances outside metal, including ethnical, Arabian and classical touches. Contrary to the evilness intimacy popularized by fellow bands in the subgenre, KerandaMayat preaches positive wisdom about life and death.
They have gone through few years of dying when four original members left for their own reasons and finally in 2005 KrandaMayat acquired new blood, left only Herlambang as founding member. As result, they released new mini album in 2005 titled Azab (Torment). Heres a tiny details about the mini album:
